According to a Mitch and Kate Carney, who operates a daffodil business in Boonsboro, Md., said that this was one of the most difficult growing years.

The more factors that are challenging for the flower April's heavy winds tended to dry out the flowers in combination with the warm weather.

To face this challenge the flowers must be picked before and need to be refrigerator to keep them as long as possible, and this time so many flowers had to be picked early that they had to buy a third refrigerator.
