Vassili Zaitsev was not still dead when Nazis attacked Stalingrad. He survived but lost his memory due to mortar shell blasted away at the location where he used to hide. He recovered from his ill health soon after he transferred to Berlin from Stalingrad and the first thing he remembered was the aroma of wonderful Russian flower that her lady-love gifted him before he went to shooting his record count of Nazi battle-men. All the way when he had been suffered from his lost memory; he shot more than fifteen Nazi soldiers almost every second day of the war. The war that fought at Stalingrad in 1942 was unexpected but long awaited as Nazi movement with back to back victory in Europe.
Vassili Zaitsev forgot everything except one thing that was dwelt in his smelling sense; was the flower that his beloved wife gave him. He lost her when he came back from the front of war. He began to search her and traveled mile of miles distance asking everyone about her but nothing seemed favorable for him. He hoped that smell that existed in his mind would lead him to her way. And one day, the story ended from where it was began, when he was walking in the streets of Stalingrad, he smelt her beloved one's smell again, as fresh as it was given him the very first time. He struggled and traced hard and the smell led him to the hospital where many wounded Russian soldiers and families were being taken treatment. Among patients' all beds, Vassili Zaitsev found her beloved; his once long lost rose again. Story continued....
